Our Vision

Our Focus for Ministry

Our vision is to be a church that connects lost people to Christ. We have a vision which is driven by our three values: reaching the lost, equipping the saints and praising the Lord. Our value driven vision is accomplished through our two methods: developing leaders and planting new ministries.

Our vision for ministry is serving. God has laid on our hearts that the most important person at River of Life is the person who hasn't been touched with Jesus' love. Jesus said, "I did not come to be served but to serve." We desire to be a church who ministers to the very real needs of people, in their present circumstances.

Our vision for ministry is exciting. God has laid on our hearts to "try and be all things to all people that we might win some" to His Son. Because of this, we are not afraid to take risks, we are not afraid of setbacks, we are not afraid of criticism. We firmly believe that God brings new people to our ministry so that we can do new things for Him.

Our vision for ministry is challenging. God has laid on our hearts not to just gather more people through the latest gimmicks; but to challenge the people He brings to us, to grow into a deeper relationship with His Son. Our House Church ministry which is based on Acts 2:42-47, will help you develop from being someone who knows about Jesus into someone who is sold out for Jesus.

Our vision for ministry is intentional. If you are like 80% of those surveyed, you want a church with some where around 300 people in worship. While the half dozen churches with thousands in worship gather the headlines, the reality is that 80% of the people want their needs met in a more intimate worship setting. Because of this, our church is intentionally going to develop pastors from within our congregation and plant new churches out of our congregation. Our desire is for you to have a place to worship where "everyone knows your name".

Our vision for ministry is warm. God has laid on our hearts to be a place that is accepting. Jesus did not wait for us to get our acts together before coming and ministering to our needs. If He had, He would still be waiting! Our church is a place where by the grace of God, the shed blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, the words of Ecclesiastes 7:8 "The end of a matter is better than it's beginning" and Hagai 2:9 "The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house" will be true for all who enter in.

Our vision for ministry is not ours; it is God's. He has given it to us. We strive by the power of the Holy Spirit, the illumination of Scripture and the Godly wisdom of the brethren to remain faithful and true to what He has entrusted us with.
